Sift: Target Recommendations

Sift: Target Recommendations

5Mar

Sift is an application created to generate recommendations on all Target properties. These can be seen on the Target home page, product pages, category pages — even in-store kiosks for Wedding registries.

Features:

  • Allows site merchants to create filters for Target’s algorithm-based recommendations (customers “also viewed”, “ultimately bought”, etc).
  • Allows users to create entirely custom recommendations (e.g. “complete your purchase”) by writing logical expressions that query Target’s entire product catalog and regenerate whenever the catalog changes.
  • Generates real-time previews for users as they are creating recommendations.

Bakken Invitation Community

Bakken Invitation Community

16May

Creating the Medtronic’s Bakken Invitation Community has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Working with a skilled, dedicated team of 4-5 individuals, we created an online community where people whose lives were saved by medical implant devices can come to share their story.

This project features:
• Responsive design for all mobile formats
• New user registration and application submission for the Bakken Invitation Award
• Application approval flow
• User profiles with their personal story and photos
• Ability to interact with others and comment on their stories
• Interactive map of profiles from around the world
• Informational pages
• Graphic displaying the current total donations received

Chat-based gamification:

In true Lean-UX style, one designer and I created this mobile app for conference attendees. By the end of the weeks-long project, it featured an interactive map, group chat capabilities, an agenda for the conference, and even an engrossing point-system for the attendees/competitors: Aimia Summit Mobile App
